In the spring of 1997 I had a wonderful day with Dr. Omar Amin in Phoenix, Arizona. Dr. Amin is one of the most respected and considered parasitologists in the world and runs Parasitology Center Inc in Scottsdale, Arizona.
He gave me a copy of his article "Understanding the parasite". "Recently, when I looked at expensive restaurants in Los Angeles, I found that 100% of all employees (as well as the server) had shit droppings under their nails," I am worried .
Feces and diseases (especially parasites) generally become common. In this city offering ever-increasing exotic regional cuisine around the world, the food of these provinces, such as the Dutch herring, steak tartar, ceviche, sashimi, sushi, The incidence of parasite-borne diseases will be higher. Reindeer is the top of the "Residents" list. As well as Anisakid worms are included in these foods.
Food handlers with poor personal hygiene may increase exposure and risk of pathogen tissue. A few years ago, the kitchen staff wore gloves and hair when handling food. Normal hand washing practices may be mandatory today, but they do not seem to do this anymore.
Gondar University, Ethiopia
In 2003, 127 food processing companies who worked at the cafeteria and teacher training college of Gondar University were examined with fingertips. These cafes were chosen because the large supply of food is a reasonable cause of infection transmission. Both the hand and fecal specimen nail contents were collected from all 127 food handlers. In addition to the feces beneath the nail, the following was found:
Coagulase negative staphylococci of S. aureus (16.5%), Klebsiella (5.5%), E. coli (3.1%), Serratia (1.58%), Citrobacter (0.8%) and Enterobacter
- Shigella species were isolated from stool samples of 4 food handlers (3.1%). Both food handlers were positive for Salmonella species and Shigella species with respect to the contents of the nails.
Thankfully, intestinal parasites were not detected from the contents of the nails, but intestinal parasites were detected in the stool:
Ethamoeba historicica / Dispal (1.6%), Trichuris / Tritura (1.6%), Hookworm species (0.8%), Gardia Ramblia (0.8%), Ascoli Lumbricoid (18.11%), Stroloirous · Stalkararius (5.5% And 1.6% of Manson / Sysmus mass subjects were positive for A. lumbricoides, T. trichiura, hookworm and Giardia lamblia, respectively.
From this and many other studies it is clear that food handlers are a potential source of infection. Not just food handlers. Here are two lists to find out where and how dirt will occur.

Please think before you soak your fingers in the peanut bowl of the bar before you drink the next time. Beside nuts there are stool substances and urine debris. Of course, lemon is attached to your drink:
"I have worked in a restaurant for many years, but here is what I saw.Lemon and lime were handed over and placed in a walking cooler, then sliced with a cutting board and put in a cup Customer # 1 orders beer and pays beer.Soda with lemon. The bartender enters the ice bin, fills the cup, grabs the lemon and squeezes the lemon into a drink. His hand and this all day Money, ice, fruit ... Oh, I will occasionally go to John.
Men generally have more bacteria under the nails than females, but more bacteria under artificial nails than real nails.
Of course there is hope ...
Viruses and bacteria are an integral part of our lives. There are billions of people in us. A strong and healthy immune system generally handles most of the daily threats picking up from its dirty supermarket trolleys and home pets, but it is worth conscious of this.
Some nail facts:
- Onychomycosis is a study of nails and nails.
- Nails are dead cells made of protein essentially called keratin, the same as our hair. It works fine even if they do not exist, but it helps you to better understand things, send text messages, and do something that hurts themselves. Also absorb some of the stress that the tip of the phalange must bear.
- When you are young, your nails are quick, faster when you are more active, the claws grow bigger in summer than in winter. They also grow prematurely for pregnant women.
- Dry claw? Just drink more water.
To the last health memo ...
Avoid drinking straight from aluminum cans. If you buy a canned drink and bring it home, they may have a virus called Leptospirosis so wash the top.
There are many threats on the Internet about people who drink and drink unwashed cans. I do not know about its accuracy, but if there is truth here, it is because the victim has such an exhausted immune system and there is little resistance to invading bacteria.
Tests have shown that several aluminum cans carry dry rats containing Leptospira i. Cans are usually stored in warehouses infected with rats and delivered directly to retail stores without cleaning. Just because you know.
Let's minimize exposure.
