Health nutrition from food you eat and drink is your health and strength. What you eat are part of yours, what will you be? What you choose for a meal will have either a positive or a negative effect on our body. The quality of food you take affects the length and quality of your life. Many life-threatening diseases, such as heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, cancer, are often associated, at least in part, with poor nutrition. Many of these diseases may have preceded by adequate health nutrition intake.
It is often said that we must eat a balanced diet in order to gain healthy nutrition for health. But what is a balanced diet? How do you know that you have achieved the right balance? Many of us do not eat adequate healthy carbohydrates. Many of us do not notice a diet with very little fat and may harm the body like a high fat diet. Many of us do not know that we eat more protein than we really need and there are too many things we are having bad for us. Many of us do not meet the daily requirements of vitamins and minerals necessary for our body.
For a perfect meal, all necessary health nutrients such as carbohydrates, fats, proteins, vitamins, minerals and fibers must be contained in appropriate amounts. WHO suggests that at least 50% of the calories in the diet should be derived from complex carbohydrates, with more than 35% being fat derived and up to 15% being protein derived. Allowing alcohol consumption is less than 5%.
In order to get 50% of the carbohydrates, you have to secure a good part of the starchy carbohydrate food like rice, pasta, potatoes, or bread at every meal. For most meals, good parts of vegetables and fruits are needed. Also we need to include some of the low-fat or medium-fat protein, such as fish, poultry, pulse, lean meat, in our diet. High fat proteins such as cheese, dairy products, fatty meat etc should be eaten less frequently. All fats are high calorie foods, ideally the meal should include a small amount of oil such as olive oil or corn oil. Most of your daily calorie needs are taken. There is little room for alcohol and sugar. So moderately add these to your meal.
The balance intake of diversity and health nutrition is the most important element of a healthy diet for life. Please try to eat as much food as possible in order to ensure all necessary vitamins, minerals, fats, proteins, carbohydrates and fibers. You should eat different kinds of carbohydrates, different kinds of proteins, different vegetables, salads, fruits.
You do not have to worry much about the exact nutritional content of each dish of the food you eat. In fact, if you follow the above guidelines, you can make almost all kinds of meals a part of a healthy diet.
