Taking into account the amount of money you spend on visiting your salon, the cost of purchasing your own gel polish kit is quite serious, but the initial cost is not considered excessive.
Another disadvantage of gel polishing is the time it takes to remove it from the nail. You can not remove gel polish using normal manicure remover, but you need to use acetone-based remover instead. Acetone is soaked in fluff, placed on the nail bed and wrapped in foil, or put in a nail bowl and applied to the nail by dipping it in acetone. The immersion process takes 15 to 20 minutes. Once again, the dipping process can be done at home in a suitable and convenient time.
The last drawback is the gap that appears when your nails grow. If your nail grows really quickly, you may have to increase the frequency of application of UV gel polish.
All of these shortcomings can easily be relaxed. As with other beauty products on the market, inappropriate application or removal of gel / polish may damage the nails.
