Chinese have a very old medical tradition of using herbs and homeopathic therapies to treat many diseases. Unlike Western medicine focused on treating symptoms with medicine, Chinese medicine restores energy flow in the body, uses natural means to restore the balance of the body and cure disease. Traditionally, we visit Chinese herbalists and explain one symptom. The herbalists will make a known herb formula to cope with the symptoms being experienced. Pharmaceutical medicines are designed to handle common symptoms, but each Chinese herbal formulation is custom made for people's special illness and symptoms. This is probably because Chinese medicine is effective, why Western medicine fails, many people will change into this approach.
There is scientific evidence that Chinese medicine can treat general disorders and some chronic diseases. However, these studies are often not trusted by mainstream medicine just because Chinese medicine does not use the same test standards as the West. However, the advantage of Chinese medicine is worth considering, especially since the physician is currently investigating the effectiveness of Chinese herb as a natural remedy for ADHD. Because the following formulation treats similar symptoms in the past, it has the possibility of natural healing of ADHD.
Liaoning liquor
Ginseng liquor consists of cranial roots, Oriental white ginseng extract, Chinese Towa wax roots. Tincture is formulated to control overactive behavior, especially for children, whose claims are being tested by Chinese scientists. One hundred children of ADHD Hyperactive Type who participated in this study received Tiaoshen liquor every few weeks for several weeks and the tests ended with positive results. Parental findings indicate that 94% of participants are not overactive, attention span has been improved, and better results were obtained at school.
Easy syrup
Easy syrup, also known as a potentiometric syrup, is made of ingredients similar to those of Tioachen Liquor. In a study of 66 overactive children, 84% experienced improvement of symptoms of ADHD, behavior improvement, improvement of academic performance. Through urine specimen testing, researchers confirmed that easy syrup can increase the production of dopamine and norepinephrine.
Medical medicine vs Western medicine
One study is a direct comparison of the effects of Chinese medicine and Western medicine in the treatment of ADHD. 80 children were given herbal medicines known to reduce hyperactivity and activate the spleen: Scutellaria baicalensis, Ligustrum lucidum, Lophatherum gracilile, Astragalus membranaceus, Codonopsis pilosula, Bupleurum Chinese, The remaining children received 5 to 15 mg of Ritalin tablets twice a day.
Children were monitored for 3 months and received EEG scan, IQ test, and symptom scale. At the end of the study, researchers observed that 29% of the Chinese medicine group acquired 10 IQ points, had normal brain wave levels, no longer meet the diagnostic criteria of ADHD. 58% slightly improved, but 13% had no improvement at all. Ritalin group also showed similar results: 30% failed to meet diagnostic criteria, 60% showed symptoms and 10% did not improve.
What this research shows is that there is little difference between Chinese medicine and Western medicine in terms of efficacy. However, regarding side effects, it is known that Ritalin and other ADHD medications cause permanent damage when used for a long time. In addition to rare allergic reactions, people do not experience serious side effects by using Chinese herbs. If you are looking for natural remedy for ADHD, please consult a certified practitioner of Chinese medicine.
